Reinventing the Remote Workforce
On January 27th, 2022 our Founder & CEO, Brea Starmer, had the amazing opportunity to moderate a panel at this year’s Women in Cloud Summit. The WIC Annual Summit 2022 was a three day virtual summit for business and thought leaders from around the world to come together to talk about the shifting tides of the workforce of now, and how that translates into the future of work.
During the panel titled, “Reinventing the Remote Workforce,” Brea spoke with industry leaders about how the work from home culture has impacted the workplace and explored how companies are re-thinking the way they do business and the impact it has on employees.
The panelists were Lisa Esch, Senior VP at NTT Data Sciences, Ronit Bohrer Hillel, VP of Software Engineering at Smartsheet, Elena Beloshapkova, CEO and Founder of inspace, and Jillian Alberico, Managing Director at Accenture. Each brought their unique perspective to the future of remote work.
“Covid-19 brought our home to work,” pointed out Ronit Bohrer Hillel, “it brought the perspective that we are a person outside of work…so the opportunity is to get to a work-life harmony.”
Brea and the panelists agreed that business leaders today should look critically at their culture, create a person-first environment, and trust in their team’s ability to be excellent regardless location.
“We have to invest in our people and not just our technology,” Lisa Esch stated “digitalizing is not just about technology but about people.”
