Amy Henderson to discuss her book ‘Tending’
Register today for a virtual event next month hosted by Lions & Tigers.
On September 28th at 12pm PST, our founder Brea Starmer will sit down with mission-driven leader and author Amy Henderson to discuss her book Tending and what her experience and research reveals about the future of work, inclusive workforces, and how managers can use behavioral change to affect workplaces.
“We must invest in the well-being of our workplaces by implementing policies to support all caregivers; and incentivizing all employees, regardless of their gender, caregiver status, or income level, to value the power of vulnerability, empathy and collaboration…the greatest reflection of our culture is how we care for our parents and caregivers.” – Amy Henderson, Tending
Tending examines the crippling challenges faced by most American caregivers today, going deep into the stories behind this pain, to help us understand how our work cultures are broken and how we can heal them. Tending is not just about parenthood. “It is about our collective humanity. It illuminates not just the future of work – but the skills required to survive and thrive in the 21st century” writes Lea Endres in the book’s foreword.
The event is free and open to all. Register at: https://bit.ly/3mLK0nr
