Brea sat down with a fellow WSU alumna Kelsey Marie Knutson as part of WSU’s CougsFirst! Series. This talk, titled, “Decentralizing talent – Breaking the all-or-nothing binary of the modern workplace” focused on thought leadership with a WSU focus.

The pair discussed Brea’s origin at WSU, from deciding to attend to eventually being elected as Student Body President.

“I had a really tremendous experience and I owe so much of my leadership experience to WSU,” Brea said.

Brea and Kelsey talked about how hard it was to scale Lions & Tigers to where it is today, but how rewarding it is to see something you’ve created grow in all the right places. What started out as a vision of a better future transformed into an agency devoted to putting the right people in the right places. As a steward of this vision, Brea talked about how creating this flexible and functional work structure impacted everyone, including her.
