2024 Lions & Tigers Awards

Aug 21, 2024 | noteworthy, people

We are constantly amazed by our people. Every new hire, project update, or client note reminds us of how exceptional our team is. We also recognize the incredibly loyal community supporters who continually show up for us, helping spread our mission and expand our reach. Then, there are our clients, who trust us with their work so we can do what we do best, elevating their work in the process.

Our Lions & Tigers Awards are a way for us to formally recognize these incredible individuals. We had over 30 thoughtful nominations this year spread out over a diverse group of folks. Seeing nominations from our clients for our consultants, and from our consultants for our clients – was amazing.

Now for the 2024 L&T Award winners. Drumroll please…

Community & Care Award  (L&T staff)

This person goes above and beyond to contribute to our L&T community. They share knowledge and resources with others, spread our message, and lift others up along the way. They take great care in their work, their relationships and embody what it means to be a Lions & Tigers team member.

Winner: Reiko Kono

Although new to the team, Reiko is a vital advocate for Lions and Tigers and the consultants including myself. Her proactive approach was instrumental in securing and renewing my contract, and she is clearly dedicated to both the well-being of her team members and the satisfaction of clients. Reiko’s actions reflect the core values of Lions and Tigers, emphasizing the importance of a supportive and effective work environment. I’m grateful to have met Reiko this year.

Courage & Access Award   (consultant)

This consultant leads with determination and resilience. True to their word, emphatic in their actions, this consultant pushes the boundaries of what is accepted in pursuit of what is possible.  They seek out opportunities to expand the Lions & Tigers footprint creating economic access for others in the process.

Winner: Lynette Lindbergh

Lyn has worked very hard to come up to speed with minimal transition support to partner with demanding partners and Microsoft Global Skilling Leads. She has supported the rollout of complex programs in my partner, and she has easily blended in to become part of the team. Lyn listens, learns, and grows. She observes the unique way that I want to work with my partner, and she updates her approach to match my style. And she does all of this with grace, positivity, and a smile.

Stewardship & Impact Award  (consultant)

This consultant believes in service plus advocacy. They leverage the resources of our clients’ investments with great responsibility and commit to leaving all things better than they found them. Knowing what it means to operate at their “Highest & Best Use,”  they maximize efficiency and keep a sharp focus on impact which has resulted in successful engagements.

Winner: Becks Nguyen

Becks Nguyen delivers above and beyond what were asked of her. She is very professional with her approach, always willing to learn, accepting challenging task with a smile, basically, superb work attitude. Becks is so committed and dedicated to delivering business impact that she would go the extra miles to ensure work is completed on time and with highest quality. I am so happy that Becks is on our team, and becoming quite reliant on her now. She is simply an awesome business partner and I look forward to her continued partnership. Kudos Becks!

Change Agent & Collaborator Award (client)

This client gets it. They are a change agent who promotes and supports a new way of working. They understand that individually and in community, when we operate in our Highest & Best Use, measuring success in outcomes not output, we can create change and redefine how we work. They embrace collaboration leaning into our organization as trusted stewards of their work and champion the Lions & Tigers philosophy along the way.

Winner:  Mallory Mackin, Microsoft

Mallory is an amazing client who truly understands the value of collaboration! From day one she has created an environment of collaboration and open communication so that we are all driving toward shared success. Anytime I connect with Mallory – which is often and whenever I need it! – I truly feel supported and know that she is invested in making me and the L&T team successful. Our success is measured not in what we produce but the change and impact we are making for our Microsoft teams. She is incredibly supportive of needing time for our personal commitments and in fact encourages us to prioritize our decompress time. We are lucky to have Mallory as a Lions & Tigers partner!

Advocate & Ally Award (community supporter)

This award is for someone who has our back and is our biggest cheerleader. They contribute to our community, spread our message, and open doors for Lions & Tigers. They believe wholeheartedly in our mission of co-designing a more human and valued work experience advancing impact, access & belonging.

Winner: Theresa Dugan, Amazon

Theresa is all about making a real difference. Her dedication to creating an environment where people can thrive is evident in her work at Amazon and her commitment to advancing our mission at Lions & Tigers. Her genuine care for people and her drive to challenge the status quo (especially for women in the workplace) makes her an exceptional ally. She’s been a true champion for L&T!

Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations for this year’s awards.  We feel lucky to have such a supportive and engaged community.
