Senator Patty Murray to meet with business owners representing hundreds of small businesses that support paid leave

WASHINGTON, DC – On Thursday, a cross-section of small business owners from Washington State and across the country will present Senator Patty Murray, Chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, with the signatures of over 350 small business owners nationwide who have added their voices to the urgent call for a comprehensive paid leave program.
During the event, small business owners representing the small businesses who signed letters to congressional leaders from Paid Leave for the U.S. (PL+US) and Main Street Alliance/Small Business for Paid Leave will share with Senator Murray how the passage of a comprehensive paid leave program — such as the one currently being discussed as part of the Senate’s budget reconciliation legislation — would help them build their businesses, support working families, and power long-term economic growth.
Speakers will include Senator Patty Murray, and small business owners from Washington state and across the country.
