Jermey Evans is a Project Management Consultant supporting the General Manager and Apps & Endpoints team. He started out at Microsoft as a security team member and worked his way through the Microsoft ecosystem for almost ten years. Jermey is also a lover of video games, music, and animals who enjoys the way flexible work allows them to be a better partner, uncle, and friend.

ABOUT JERMEY

Microsoft has been my primary client (and employer) for at least 10-years. My career has been an interesting journey that gave me a lot of great experience as well as some memorable stories along the way. I would have never thought my career starting with breaking into Microsoft buildings for the security team would eventually lead me to supporting launch events of some of my most favorite products, get to partner on projects with amazing colleagues and customers all around the world, and work with some of the most fantastic leaders in marketing to develop their organization and team culture. All that with the support of my partner, family, friends, and colleagues to whom I’ve had the honor to meet on this journey.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

The last 8-months I’ve been the Business Manager supporting the office of the GM, Wangui McKelvey and the Apps & Endpoints Team within the Modern Work organization. In this role, I provide a wide variety of support ranging from managing executive engagements and co-developing the Allyship DEI learning program to managing day to day activities like budgets, sourcing agendas, tracking progress on activities and just being there for the team.

Project management, resourcing, and optimism are my top 3 professional superpowers.

WHY L&T?

They put me in front of an amazing client who’s got great energy and vision. With a role that played to all of my strengths with room for growth to develop new skills.

AREAS OF INTEREST & PASSIONS

I’ll be honest that I love video games and everything geek. But I am truly passionate about music, people, and animals. Helping people and wildlife to an awesome soundtrack is my sweet spot.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF VIDEO GAME?

Adventure, anything that has great music where you can explore at your own pace, like Outer Wilds.

BENEFITS OF FLEXIBLE, HIGH-IMPACT WORK

I’m able to shift the pieces to work and life in a way that enables me to be a better uncle, partner, friend, and colleague to everyone in my life.

ADVICE FOR YOUR 2020 SELF

Stick to your new year resolution of deleting social media accounts to protect your mental health and focus on keeping those relationships strong through other means of connection and communication.
